CV Sophia Kircher - English

Sophia Kircher was born on May 4, 1994, in Innsbruck and lives in Tyrol. Since July 2024, she has served as a Member of the European Parliament. Prior to this, from May 2021 to July 2024, she held the position of First Vice President of the Tyrolean State Parliament. Starting in March 2018, she had been a member of the Tyrolean State Parliament, where she served as spokesperson for European affairs, youth, science, and higher education within the Tyrolean People’s Party.

Since July 2025, Sophia Kircher has held the office of President of the Youth of the European People's Party (YEPP). Additionally, since 2018, she has served as Chairwoman of the Young People's Party of Tyrol. Since July 2022, she has also held the position of Deputy Chairwoman of the Tyrolean People’s Party. Nationally, she has been the Deputy Federal Chairwoman of the Young People’s Party of Austria since May 2021 as well as Deputy Federal Chairwoman of the Austrian People’s Party since March 2025.

She earned a master’s degree in International Business and Economics from the Leopold-Franzens-University in Innsbruck. During the course of her studies, which included a year abroad at Brock University in Canada, she was actively involved in the Austrian Students' Union. In 2014, she was elected Deputy Chairwoman of the Union at the University of Innsbruck.

As an enthusiastic sportswoman, Sophia Kircher spends much of her free time in the mountains or engaging in water sports.
